An association and nonprofit executive with over 15 years of experience, Nealy Wheat is the Controller for the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation. Her professional experiences include statewide trade and professional associations, international charitable foundations, and chambers of commerce. In her current role with the THEDC, Nealy oversees finance, human resources, information technology, and administration.
Nealy earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation in 2008 and graduated from The University of West Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Management. She earned a Master of Public Administration in Nonprofit Administration from Kennesaw State University.
She has served as a National Vice President for Alpha Xi Delta Fraternity, Trustee for the Alpha Xi Delta Foundation and as Treasurer of the Alpha Xi Delta National Housing Corporation. She is a member of Junior League of Tampa, Leadership Tampa Alumni and serves as a mentor for Emerging Leaders of Tampa Bay. Nealy resides in Tampa, Florida with her husband Nathan and their two rescue dogs.
