Kathie has 24 years of experience working for fraternal Foundations. As a member of Phi Mu Fraternity, Kathie was Phi Mu Foundation’s first Director of Development. She went on to serve as the Foundation’s Director of Campaigns, Headquarters Project Manager and Executive Director. During her tenure at Phi Mu, she led the Foundation in their first capital campaign successfully raising more than $6 million to construct a new national headquarters in Peachtree City, GA. Kathie also served Alpha Delta Pi as their Foundation Executive Director for five years during which time she led a $2.2 million dollar campaign and coordinated all fund-raising activities. Additionally, Kathie was the Annual Appeal Director for Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity Foundation for five years. During her employment with SAM, Kathie was responsible for the Annual Appeal and implemented the Foundation’s first Day of Giving.
As the Executive Director of Georgia Psychological Association, Kathie was responsible for the operation of the state association’s office with oversight of staff, finances, marketing, membership and management of an annual conference and continuing education opportunities for Georgia psychologists.
As a volunteer, Kathie served as a Trustee for Phi Mu Foundation. She was also a member and Secretary of the Board of Directors for the North American Interfraternity Conference Foundation. Kathie was the proud recipient of the William D. Jenkins Outstanding Professional Award at NIC’s Foundations Seminar. She has also been an active participant in Atlanta’s Cancer Support Community, the Georgia Society of Association Executives and the Atlanta Chapter of the Association of Fund-Raising Professionals.
Kathie earned her BS in History from East Tennessee State University. She currently resides in Travelers Rest, SC with her husband and two labradoodles.
